2009 Bordeaux Futures OfferUpdated 7/22/2010 There have
been more well known wines offered in the last week. We also see even
more competition for sales. But some wines have also disappeared/been
sold out.
We've been reading the newsletters of those lucky
souls that have been tasting the 2009 Bordeaux wines over the past few
weeks. Not to be coy: they are very enthusiastic about the quality and
style of the wines. Adjectives such as "stunning," "excellent, "elegant
and balanced" are being used. Generalizations to wines from the 2005
vintage are sometimes made, but I think it wise to hold those
comparisons in abeyance.
A month ago we tasted a "tank sample" of
a 100% Merlot wine from the middle of the Entre-deux-Mers region. It
will be very reasonably priced, and should be available in a few
months. More news on that later.

2009 BORDEAUX FUTURES SALES: Terms and Conditions
Availability is
subject to prior sale; some wines are in limited supply and may be
apportioned. Prices are subject to change without notice. The listing of
a price, and the acceptance of an order does not confirm the
availability to fulfill that order. Any new taxes or duties will be
collected at time of delivery. Orders will be invoiced promptly, with
payment due within 30 days from the date of the confirming
invoice. Wines are to be delivered in winter/spring/summer 2010/11. We
will inform you of the arrival of your wines. Delivery restrictions may
apply. Delivery of Futures Orders are charged a $10. delivery fee to
your home or business within our usual delivery range in much of eastern
Massachusetts. A nominal charge will be assessed outside that range. If
you have any questions about our terms, please inquire.
Orders
will be taken for a MINIMUM of one full case (12-750 ml bottles), which
may be assorted in units of four or six bottles of each wine selected
at a $12.00 additional charge for each case so split.
Halves
(H) and Magnums (M) are available for many wines for a $24.00 per case
surcharge, for a limited time period, and subject to
confirmation. (Please inquire as to availability of other sizes).
