Brookline Liquor Mart has a long history and a proud reputation that we are working very hard to maintain as we enter the 4th generation as a family business.

Many consider Brookline Liquor Mart Boston's best wine and spirits resource. Our family has been selling wines and educating wine drinkers for more than a half century. We pride ourselves on remaining an approachable, friendly neighborhood store replete with good values even as we burnish a longstanding reputation as the region's preeminent source of fine wine and rare items.

When Baron Philippe de Rothschild took over the family winery he would not admit that in 1855 his wine had a second growth rating. He would say, “First, I cannot be. Second, I do not consent to be. Mouton, I am.” When his wine was raised to first growth status he changed his phrasing to “First, I am. Second I was. But Mouton does not change.”  At Brookline Liquor Mart we are of the same mentality when it comes to our family’s business. We will continue to work hard until we once again earn the reputation as being the best fine wine shop in Boston.
