Pouring a deep purple color, with great saturation, and just a slightly lighter pink rim, this Lake County Petite Sirah displayed a nose of coffee, chocolate spice, toast, and cassis. A full bodied wine, the palate showed rich, velvety tannins, blackberries, baking chocolate, plum, and finished with an herbal spiciness. Without being a sweet wine itself, all of those chocolate tones definitely put this wine in line with the Valentine’s Day theme.
| Wine maker notes |
| Guenoc Lake County Petite Sirah has intense aromas of vanilla, licorice and baked blueberries. The wine full bodied, with melt in your mouth tannins and layers of spicy complexity. A refreshing acidity on the palate contributes to an extraordinary long finish which echoes the delicious flavors of ripe plum and sweet oak. |

| The Langtry Estate is located in the picturesque Guenoc Valley of Lake County. With over 23,000 acres of land, Langtry’s vast property spans throughout Lake County and into the northern tip of Napa Valley.
The winery itself was originally built in 1981 to resemble the old Langtry barn still standing across from the Gebhard Hunting Lodge two miles south of the winery. |
