This is a Sonoma Coast Gewurztraminer for lovers of that robust Alsacian style: full bodied, flowery, intense, and brimming with melon, lychee, and kiwi fruit. The tight grapefruit acidity frames the wine very nicely. The smoothness and elegant texture is what really won me over, though. The finish is long and memorable. Next time you're in the mood for a really good Gewurtz, try this California contender. A perfect wine for turkey or chicken, but also try this wine with Szechuan or Indonesian food.
