Pale gold with a little green; a little small bubble activity at the rim. An open nose; ripe apple/citrus aroma is fresh, with very pretty floral overtones that are a pleasant surprise! Very nice indeed! The palate is very much the same, showing the apple/citrus fruit combination, and some floral that blooms nicely in the mid-mouth, followed by plenty of clean mineral in the finish. Very good! Medium-good body, smooth, dry, with modest acidity. I assume that the distinct floral note in this wine may be due to the 75% Pinot noir portion of the blend, the balance being Chardonnay. In any case, it is a quite delicious Champagne at a very reasonable price.
