A terrific value, the 2005 The Victor is a blend of 90% Shiraz and 10% Grenache that was aged in neutral American and French 300 liter hogsheads. Its dark ruby/purple hue is followed by a big, peppery, plum, and cassis-scented nose with background hints of white chocolate and herbs. Richly fruity, medium to full-bodied, and supple-textured, it is a hedonistic Australian red to drink over the next 3-4 years.
