Very good saturation; blackish ruby with maroon. A moderately open nose; ripe black cherry aroma is fresh with a hint of jammy tone that gives it richness. There's a faintly vanilla/spice note the suggests a little oak ageing, and a hint of floral. Subtle, but very nice. The palate shows more volume of flavor than the nose; while retaining the dark cherry fruit, and adding some licorice/mineral/mint in the under-taste. There's good sweetness here, balanced by very good minerality. Good body, round and smooth, with some matte tannins, and modest acidity.
A very creditable Bourgogne rouge, with both purity and plumpness balanced with a subtle structure. ~ Roger Ormon
