The three grapes in this blend get along very well indeed. The distinctive (and sometimes overbearing) smoky quality of Pinotage is nicely tempered by the addition of plum-flavored Merlot and and stawberry-tinged Cinsault. Here's a wine that has the flavor profile and texture to match with grilled food but but is nonetheless light enough on its feet for drinking in very warm weather.
